Job title: VP, RD&A
Rajesh is Vice President RD&A, Taste, at Kerry, a world innovator in science-backed flavor and nutrition for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Rajesh’s responsibilities include leading Kerry’s Taste creation and technical processing strategy and the company’s Taste innovation pipeline. He also oversees the Taste product portfolio, including leading strategic alignment, collections development and support commercial effectiveness while also managing the ongoing evolutions of sensory, analytical and process advancements. Under Rajesh’s leadership, Kerry developed TasteSense™ Modulation technologies that enable sugar reduction or sugar removal while maintaining good taste, mask protein and sweeteners, bitter notes and other flavors, and bring back the mouthfeel perception of in low calorie and fat products, resulting in cleaner labels. Prior to joining Kerry, Rajesh had more than 14 years of experience in the taste and food industries, including serving as a Senior Research Manager with Givaudan and as a R&D Director with PepsiCo. He earned a Ph.D. and master’s degree in Food Science from Pennsylvania State University with an emphasis in flavor chemistry, confectionary processing, dairy science and food emulsions. He also holds an MBA degree from Xavier University.
